During autumn 2009 and spring 2010 Umevatoriet is introducing ASTROMATICS as a theme!
Umevatoriet is open to the public Tuesday evenings January through April. (Program occasional subject to change.)
Umevatoriet also runs a number of special events throughout the year aimed at the public, such as Open House and occasional open Sunday afternoons. Keep an eye on the calendar.

Come and enjoy the wonders of space. Experience Umevatoriets state-of-the-art technology. The digital planetarium at Umevatoriet places the audience right at the centre of action offering an amazing 3D adventure. After dark, in case of a clear sky, our main telescope in the dome will be open for guided tours. Or why not view the stars through one of our portable telescopes?

Starting in space we move to the Orient and the amazing Bagdad tents of mathematics. Let your imagination run free as you journey through time meeting historical and astronomical characters from different cultures. This is the place to learn about the historical connection between mathematics and astronomy.
