UMEVATORIET CLOSED FOR SUMMER!

Umevatoriet will be closed for summer begining on Thursday June 3th and will reopen August 23th. If you wish to book a visit our booking services reopens August 16th.
October through December Umevatoriet will be open to the public Tuesday evenings 19-22.

During the summer closure our staff will focus on developing more activities and projects. Our telescopes also require some degree of maintenance.

Come and enjoy the wonders of space. Experience Umevatoriets state-of-the-art technology. The digital planetarium at Umevatoriet places the audience right at the centre of action offering an amazing 3D adventure. After dark, in case of a clear sky, our main telescope in the dome will be open for guided tours. Or why not view the stars through one of our portable telescopes?

Starting in space we move to the Orient and the amazing Bagdad tents of mathematics. Let your imagination run free as you journey through time meeting historical and astronomical characters from different cultures. This is the place to learn about the historical connection between mathematics and astronomy.
